The Upper Room is an interfaith place in the CA House for prayer and meditation. Hours are 10:00 am to 4:30 pm weekdays except at holidays. It is best to call 215-746-6350 to check that the Upper Room is available.
The murals were created by Sam Maitin '51. Sam is a talented mixed media artist who is remembered in a recent article in Penn's Almanac. When Sam arrived on Penn's campus in 1946, he found a welcoming home at the Christian Association, and a nearly 60 year commitment to the CA began. The rock garden and fountain was created by artist Leslie Hanlon.
