The Chile and Haiti emergencies need a Christian response
The network of churches throughout the world are set to respond as they do in each disaster. This is because the Church’s mission of compassion has built global friendships and local partnerships that provides immediate assistance, usually faster than governmental and other NGO agencies. While every hand is needed to rebuild and recover after disaster, check out the local denominations for first hand reports of what is happening at the local level as we seek together to respond in the name of the One who calls us to carry one another’s burdens.
