SLANGuage ESL Classes

SLANGuage is an ESL class teaching English and US culture, with emphasis on peace and justice issues, through the eyes of faith.

This program enters its 13th year (Feb 2010) with Dr. Bill Kelly, international scholars, and family members. Live and recorded music, conversation over snacks and the use of news articles, comics, questions, medical terms, writing exercises,  issues of the day, sacred and secular texts, popular songs, and other activities create a non-threatening environment for practicing American English and learning U.S. culture.
