Kimberly Cohens, MSW 1997

I remember arriving at University of Penn in 1995, both excited and fearful. I had just moved from Florida, with two young children. I was a single mother pursuing an MSW. I had very little money and no family or friends. What I remember the most was the 1st Christmas, joining CA and others for a Holiday Party, I felt connected to the many people who had joined us in a day of celebration; we were all from different backgrounds, different ages, and different cultures, but the one common thing we shared was the love in our hearts to connect with life and one another. CA and the members helped me through many challenging times. My children are grown now, one went on to graduate from Cornell Univ. with Honors, I am so proud. I miss you all so very much and thank God for the many meetings and fellowships. Thank you for the memories!
