"I have been married to John I, Lattany, for 39 years. Through him, I've acquired two step sons and two daughters, many cousins, and a knowledge of the Southeast Georgia - northern Florida coast and its special culture. I've published 11 or 12 books under the names Kristin Horter and Kristin Lattany. Returning to Penn to teach from 1972 through 1995 was a continuation of an earlier learning experience, with the joy of getting to know new groups of young people. I seem to make progress by regressing: last year and this year, I went back to high school (The Creative Arts High School in Camden, NJ) for workshops and rehearsals of my musical play, The Soul Brothers and Sister Lou, based on my young adult novel of the same title. Yes, I wrote the music and the play was performed to packed houses in January 2007."
